Scouting is a guiding movement that supports the teaching of moral character to teenagers and young adults without prejudice of race, color, or religion. The Scout Oath and Laws are the founding principals that guide every Scout while the basis of nature and the Scout Patrol Method are the used as the fundamental tools to direct all Scout activities.
Who We Are
Liên Đoàn (LĐ) Ra Khơi - San Jose was formed in February of 1985, and is currently registered with Scouting America (formerly BSA) with 4 active units: Cub Scout (pack 285), Boy Scout (Troop 285), Girl Scout (Troop 2285), and Rover Scout comprised of all registered leaders of above unit.
The Scouting movement was started in 1907, England by Lord Robert Stephenson Smith Baden-Powell. Thereafter, Scouting spread strongly throughout the world. The current headquarter of the International Scouting Organization is located in Geneva, Switzerland.
- Boy Scouting came to America in 1910 with the help of William D. Boyce. Girl Scout in America started in 1912 by Juliette Low.
- Scouting was first introduced in Vietnam by Trần Văn Khắc in 1930.
